Questions we get asked
How long does it take?
The floor itself is about two to three days start to finish for most garages, depending on the size and what the slab needs before we coat it. Floor, walls and lighting together runs three to five.
Can I park on it right after?
No. You can walk on it after 24 hours, and drive on it after 72 hours.
Do you have to grind the concrete?
Yes, always. Grinding is what opens the concrete so the coating keys into it. A roll-on kit over sealed concrete is held on by hope, and the first hot tire pulls it up.
What if my slab has cracks?
We grind them out and fill them before anything goes down, along with the control joints. It is part of the job, not an extra.
Will it turn yellow?
Not the topcoat. Polyaspartic is UV stable, which is why we use it by the door where the sun gets in.
Do you do the walls and lighting too?
Yes, and doing all three together is cheaper than booking them separately because we only set up once.
What does it cost?
Flake runs $6.50 to $9.00 a square foot and metallic runs $12 to $16. Drag the estimator on the home page for a ballpark on your square footage, and the firm number comes after we look at the slab in person. That visit is free.
How the floor actually goes down
Two floors can look exactly the same the day they're finished. Three years later only one of them is still stuck down, and the difference is all in the part you never got to see.
This is the layer that takes the beating. UV stable, so it won't go yellow by the door where the sun gets in.
A polyaspartic base sets up in three or four hours. That's how a crew gets in and out the same day. We run an epoxy base and let it cure properly instead. It buys us the working time to cast the flake right, and it's the whole reason we're not rushing your floor out the door.

Work starts
Grind, fix the cracks and joints, base coat, broadcast the flake, scrape it flat. We vacuum the dust instead of blowing it around your garage.

Why they last
A coating fails at the concrete, not at the surface.

We grind the concrete open, grind the cracks out before we fill them, and fill the control joints. You can't see any of that once the floor's down. That's exactly how a cheaper quote leaves it out and you never find out until it fails.
